- This document defines wet full-price pet food terms and definitions, technical requirements, labeling, inspection and packaging containers, transportation and shelf life. This document applies to full-price pet food packaged in rigid packaging such as tin-plated or chromium-plated steel sheets or soft packaging such as aluminum foil. This document applies to wet, full-price pet food that meets the comprehensive nutritional needs of dogs and cats. Other pet feeds and full-price prescription canned pet foods that meet special physiological and pathological conditions are excluded. This document does not require distinction between pet dogs and pet cats, nor does it require distinction between pet dogs and cats at different life stages.
