This standard establishes test methods for determining the characteristics of vibration activity of equipment intended for installation and use as part of engineering systems of buildings (hereinafter referred to as equipment) in the frequency range specified in 4.4. Equipment tests are carried out under specified conditions in a stationary (steady) mode of its operation. The test results can be used for the purposes of:
——declaring the characteristics of the vibration activity of equipment in accordance with GOST 12.1.012–2004 (section 5);
——comparison of different models of equipment of the same type based on the vibration they create. Based on the results obtained, approximate calculations of the vibration affecting people and sensitive devices inside buildings, as well as the noise emitted by vibrating elements of the building structure, can also be made. This standard applies to equipment that can be mounted on a test plate for testing purposes. Such equipment includes: equipment for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, equipment for water supply and sewerage systems, equipment for power supply networks, water heaters, pumps, blowers, electric motors and drive equipment, auxiliary equipment, etc.
