- This standard establishes the basic requirements for the design and functionality of software for the primary processing of Earth remote sensing data from space. This standard applies to software used in the primary processing of Earth remote sensing data from space, obtained in the form of images from optical-electronic surveillance spacecraft and radar surveillance spacecraft equipped with synthetic aperture radars.
