- This standard applies to symmetrical communication cables for broadband access networks (hereinafter referred to as cables) intended for operation in broadband access networks in the frequency range up to 100 MHz with a rated remote supply voltage of up to 145 and 225 VAC with a frequency of 50 Hz or voltage up to 200 and 315 VDC. This standard establishes the basic requirements for the design and technical characteristics of cables, their performance properties and test methods.
