- This standard applies to digital sound signaling devices (hereinafter referred to as signaling devices, equipment) for people with hearing disabilities and establishes general technical requirements for signaling devices and methods of their testing. Mandatory requirements for the quality of alarms that ensure a rehabilitation effect, electromagnetic compatibility and safety for human life and health are given in 5.5.2, 5.4 and section 6
