Scope: This standard applies to the design of mechanical wrist watches and watch mechanisms intended for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, to designed watches and imported mechanisms, as well as watches assembled from imported components. This standard does not apply to the design of wrist chronometers, pendant watches and ring watches. The provisions of this standard are applied when designing mechanical wristwatches for use in moderately cold and cold climatic regions, including in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation
