GOST R 59781-2021 - Std. & Spec

Scope: This International Standard provides guidance for biobanks on implementing quality management, management and technical requirements in accordance with ISO 20387. This International Standard expands on aspects of ISO 20387 and provides examples for clarity. The purpose of this standard is to assist biobanks in addressing issues of professional competence of personnel, appropriate quality of biological material, and data collection. This standard applies to both new and existing biobanks. This standard is applicable to all organizations performing biobanking, including biobanking of biological samples from multicellular organisms (e.g., humans, animals, fungi and plants) and microorganisms intended for research and development. This standard does not apply to biological material intended for food/feed production, food/feed research laboratories and/or therapeutic use.
