Scope: This standard provides an information model for determining competency and its level. The standard presents several use cases that will be useful to software developers, implementers, and architects of HR and learning systems. These use cases are intended to facilitate the management and exchange of information about competencies in information technology (IT) systems used for learning, education and training. This International Standard provides an information model used to express the semantics of competency and competency levels, and to support the management and exchange of competency information between education, training and education IT systems.
