- Scope
- This International Standard specifies the safety requirements for the manufacture, application, operation and main- tenance of powered industrial trucks. The term “powered industrial trucks” applies to mobile, power-driven vehicles used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier any type of load, as described in clause 3. The word “shall” is to be understood as expressing a mandatory requirement and the word “should” as expressing a recommended requirement.
