- This standard establishes methods for calculating the thermal and aerodynamic characteristics of structures for the removal of flue gases, with a single heat source attached. The practices in this standard are applicable to flue gas removal structures operating under vacuum or positive pressure for dry or wet service conditions. The standard is applicable to flue gas removal structures with attached heat sources, provided that the flue gas characteristics used in the calculations are known for the fuel.
