Scope: This standard applies to flat-plate photovoltaic modules and establishes a method for testing them for resistance to uneven snow loads. This standard applies to photovoltaic modules with a glass front cover and frames that protrude forward beyond the front cover so that when the photovoltaic module is installed at an angle to the horizontal at the site of installation, the frame forms a barrier at the bottom edge of the photovoltaic module, preventing the free movement of snow downwards and facilitating the occurrence of uneven mechanical loads affecting the photovoltaic module
