This standard establishes requirements for calculating the strength of detachable connections of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants operating under internal excess pressure (hereinafter referred to as detachable connections), which are subject to federal norms and regulations in the field of the use of atomic energy [1]. This standard applies to the following types of detachable connections:
——flange connection with a flat or profile gasket;
——flange connection with wedge gasket. This standard does not regulate methods used to determine the stress-strain state of components of a detachable connection. This standard is intended for carrying out calculations to justify the strength of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants in terms of selecting the initial tightening force of a detachable connection, calculating the forces and stresses in the studs (bolts) and ensuring the specific compression pressure of the gasket within the permissible values
