This document specifies the terms and definitions, operating conditions, ratings and general requirements of dry-type transformers, taps, connection groups, ability to withstand short-circuits, nameplates, temperature rise limits, insulation levels, climate, environment and combustion performance levels, Seismic properties, tests, deviations, protection against direct contact, enclosure rating, earth terminal, information required for inquiries and orders, installation and safety aspects, etc. This document applies to dry-type power transformers (including autotransformers, hereinafter referred to as transformers) with a maximum voltage of 72.5kV and below, and at least one winding voltage higher than 1.1kV. This document does not apply to: --- gas-filled dry-type transformers (when the gas filled is not air); --- single-phase transformers with rated capacity less than 5kVA; --- multi-phase transformers with rated capacity less than 15kVA; --- mutual inductance ---starting transformer; ---test transformer; ---electric locomotive traction transformer; ---explosion-proof mine transformer; ---welding transformer; ---voltage regulating transformer; Small power transformers. When there is no corresponding standard for the above-mentioned transformers or other special transformers, this document may apply in whole or in part.
