Scope

This specification is applicable to Class I and II trains in the railway network where passenger and freight trains operate on the same line, the design speed of passenger trains is equal to or less than 160km/h, and the design speed of freight trains is equal to or less than 120km/h (8Okm/h for 8A freight cars). Design of standard gauge railway bridges and culverts. The applicable spans of this specification are: the span of concrete beams is less than or equal to 96m; the span of steel beams is less than or equal to 168m; the span of steel plate beams is less than or equal to 40m. Bridges are classified according to their length: extra large bridges - bridges longer than 500m; large bridges - bridges longer than 100m to 500m; medium bridges - bridges longer than 20m to 100m; small bridges - bridges long 20m and below.
