Scope

This standard specifies the definition, technical requirements and performance test methods of rupture discs and rupture disc devices. This standard applies to bursting discs and bursting disc devices used in pressure vessels, pipelines or other confined spaces to prevent overpressure or excessive vacuum. The bursting pressure of the rupture disc shall not exceed 500MPa at the highest and not less than 0.001MPa at the minimum.
