- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging, transportation and storage requirements for aluminum plate-fin heat exchangers. This standard applies to aluminum plate-fin heat exchangers (hereinafter referred to as heat exchangers) for oilfield gas light hydrocarbon recovery and other petrochemical equipment manufactured by the salt bath brazing method. Heat exchangers manufactured by other brazing methods may refer to this specification.
