This standard applies to: ——AC power transmission, distribution, and power consumption systems and their equipment with a nominal voltage higher than 100V and a standard frequency of 50 Hz; ——a rated voltage lower than 120V and a standard frequency of 50 Hz (but not - equipment with a DC voltage lower than 750V; - AC and DC traction systems; - HVDC transmission systems; - generators with AC and DC voltages not lower than 100V. This standard does not apply to voltages representing signals, transmitting signals and measuring values. This standard does not apply to those standard voltages for components, components or equipment parts inside electrical installations.
