- This specification is applicable to the foundations of vertical cylindrical steel storage tanks at normal pressure (including micro internal pressure) with storage medium whose self-weight is not greater than 10kN/m3 (hereinafter referred to as " Tank Foundation") design. This specification does not apply to storage of low temperature, extremely toxic or highly hazardous media, acid or alkali corrosive media, and the design of foundations for elevated storage tanks.
