- This standard specifies the basic parameters, requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of hydraulically expandable casing external packers (hereinafter referred to as packers) for oil and gas wells. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of packers used in oil, gas and water well completion (cementing) operations in oil and gas fields.
