Scope: This standard specifies the design and construction technical requirements for the selection of positive displacement flowmeters used for crude oil metering, the configuration and installation of auxiliary equipment. This standard applies to the installation, design and construction of volumetric flowmeters (hereinafter referred to as flowmeters) for measuring commercial crude oil (with a viscosity of 0.003 to 0.15Pa·s). The installation of flowmeters for measuring non-commercial crude oil can also be used with reference.
