This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and order (or contract) content of magnesium alloy sacrificial anodes (hereinafter referred to as magnesium anodes). This standard is applicable to magnesium anodes produced by casting and extrusion methods for metal (mainly steel) facilities working in soil, fresh water and sea water and other media for cathodic protection.
