This standard specifies the barium sulfate turbidity method and the barium chromate-diphenylcarbazide photometric method for the determination of sulfate in atmospheric precipitation. This standard applies to the determination of sulfate in atmospheric precipitation samples. This standard is divided into two parts: the first part is barium sulfate turbidity method, and the second part is barium chromate diphenylcarbazide photometric method. The minimum detectable concentration of barium sulfate turbidity method is 0.4mg/L, and the measurement range is 1.0~70mg/L. The minimum detection concentration of barium chromate diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometry is 0.1 mg/L, and the determination range is 0.5-10 mg/L.
