This document specifies the materials, design, component fabrication and assembly, requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for thermoplastic check valves made of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C), homopolypropylene (PPH), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), and glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene (FRPP).
It applies to flanged, butt-connected, and wafer-type thermoplastic check valves (hereinafter referred to as "check valves", symbol H) with a nominal pressure rating of PN ≤ 1.0 MPa, nominal bore sizes ranging from DN15 mm to DN300 mm, and service temperature ranges as follows: ABS: -40 °C to 70 °C; PVC-U: -5 °C to 60 °C; PVC-C: -5 °C to 95 °C; PPH: -10 °C to 90 °C; PVDF: -40 °C to 120 °C; FRPP: -14 °C to 100 °C.
