Methods for the determination of the flash point of flammable liquids (closed cup) - Determination of flash/no flash - Rapid equilibrium closed cup method

试验

1Key Takeaways

This standard specifies a method for determining the ability of coatings (including waterborne coatings), varnishes, coating binders, adhesives, solvents and petroleum and related products to produce, under test conditions, sufficient flammable vapour to cause ignition when a test flame is applied in a standard manner …

2Scope / Description

This standard specifies a method for determining the ability of coatings (including waterborne coatings), varnishes, coating binders, adhesives, solvents and petroleum and related products to produce, under test conditions, sufficient flammable vapour to cause ignition when a test flame is applied in a standard manner at selected test temperatures (ranging from -30 °C to 300 °C). This standard is also applicable to the flash point/no flash point test of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) when used in conjunction with a flash point detector (A.1.6).
