CLP lubricants are primarily used for circulating and immersion lubrication, especially in applications where higher wear protection is required in friction-mixed areas. CLP lubricants can also be used as hydraulic fluids and general lubricants or machine oils. They are recommended when high loads necessitate improved wear protection for friction pairs in mixed lubrication areas, and/or when surface damage (such as seizing) under overload is required. Taking into account the notes in Section 5 of this standard, CLP lubricants are suitable in many cases for applications specified in ISO 6743-6.
