2Scope / Description
This standard prescribes the general requirements for pollution control of solid wastes, such as water-based drilling cuttings and oily wastes, generated during onshore petroleum and natural gas extraction. It details the pollution control measures for collection, storage, transfer, utilization, and disposal, as well as for byproducts of utilization (including residual solids and recovered mineral oils), and outlines requirements for environmental and pollutant monitoring. The standard applies to the management of solid wastes and utilization byproducts from onshore petroleum and natural gas extraction operations, serving as a technical reference for environmental impact assessments, design of environmental protection facilities, completion acceptance of environmental protection works, emission permit management, and clean production audits. For solid wastes generated from offshore petroleum and natural gas extraction that are transferred to onshore facilities for utilization or disposal, this standard shall be applied by reference.
