This international standard specifies test methods for determining the usable microwave output power and the frequency conversion efficiency from electrical input to microwave output in industrial microwave heating apparatus. It also specifies test methods for evaluating microwave power deposition in a microwave workload (microwave workload power) and is applicable to industrial microwave heating equipment and apparatus in the frequency range from 300 MHz to 300 GHz. This standard applies to industrial microwave heating apparatus operating at normal load and is not applicable to appliances for household and similar purposes (covered by IEC 60335-2-25), commercial use (covered by IEC 60335-2-90), or laboratory use (covered by IEC 61010-2-010).
