Internal combustion engines - Engine weight (mass) declaration

2Scope / Description

This standard specifies the weight (mass) calibration method of internal combustion engines. The noun weight used in this standard is directly equivalent to the noun mass. This standard applies to: a) Reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines (spark-ignited or compression-ignition engines) but not free-piston engines; b) Rotary-piston engines; These engines may be auto-ignition air-breathing engines or use A supercharger or turbocharger supercharges an engine. This standard applies to engines for the following purposes: c) Land, rail traction and marine use; d) Vehicle use c) Pulmonary road mobile machinery driven (or used as power); f) Motorcycle use; g) Agricultural tractors and solutions For mechanical drive; h) For earthmoving machinery as defined in the ISO 6165 standard. i) For small vessels such as yachts with a total length not exceeding 24m. This standard also applies to engines for road construction machinery, industrial trucks and other uses for which there are currently no suitable standards.
