2Scope / Description

This standard specifies the additional requirements for determining the power of the reciprocating internal combustion engine (RIC) in order to conduct the exhaust pollutant emission test in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8190 under the basic requirements determined by the "core" standard of GB/T 21404-2008 and methods. This standard also specifies the power correction method for determining the power of pre-tuned engines under variable atmospheric conditions. This correction method is not suitable for determining the emission values of exhaust pollutants, since this is in all cases only relevant for the uncorrected engine power. This standard applies to land, rail traction and marine reciprocating internal combustion engines, but does not include engines mainly used in road vehicles. This standard applies to drives such as road construction machinery, earth moving machinery, industrial trucks and other applications. This standard is a "satellite" standard, and only when used together with the "core" standard of GB/T 21404-2008, can it fully specify the technical requirements for specific-purpose engines.
