2Scope / Description

General 1.1 Scope and purpose This standard specifies the size and details of the test tools used to test the protection of the enclosure for: a) preventing the human body from touching dangerous parts in the enclosure; b) preventing solid foreign objects from entering the enclosure of the equipment. The purpose of this standard: a) Collect the object test tools, contact test tools and new test tools required by the current standards in the same publication; b) Guide the standardization technical committees to choose test tools; c) Encourage relevant parties to follow The requirements of this standard are to standardize the test fixtures, not to modify the size and details of the test fixtures; d) Limit further increase in the types of test fixtures. 1.2 Instructions for use When selecting test tools, give priority to IP code test tools. The use of other test tools, especially those not specified in this standard, should be limited to occasions where IP code test tools are not applicable. In order to prevent conflicts with test results, the application of test tools, test conditions, result judgment and procedures are the responsibilities of relevant standardization technical committees. Product certification based on test tools conforming to the first edition of the standard can continue to be valid.
