2Scope / Description

This part of GB 13140 applies to connecting devices for household and similar purposes as independent units. The AC rated voltage of these connecting devices should not exceed 1000V, and the frequency should not exceed 1000Hz; Hard copper wire (solid or stranded) or soft copper wire of the corresponding AWG wire gauge. These hard or soft copper wires shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3956-2008 or GB/T 18213-2000. Connections complying with the requirements of this standard shall not require the use of special tools for connection, except for twist-on connection devices and connection devices with piercing insulation.
