2Scope / Description

This part of GB 20800 specifies the safety requirements and (or) safety measures for Class I M2 reciprocating compression ignition engines (hereinafter referred to as internal combustion engines) used in underground mining roadways where methane and (or) combustible dust exist, to eliminate or limit Various hazards and hazards that may arise from internal combustion engines. This part applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of explosion-proof structures for internal combustion engines ¹⁾. This section does not apply to Class I M1 internal combustion engines requiring special conditions. This standard does not apply to internal combustion engines used in places where explosives are processed, manufactured and stored. This section does not apply to spark ignition internal combustion engines.
