This part of GB 25431 specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of pulling devices for rubber and plastic processing extrusion lines. This section applies to the following types of traction devices: crawler traction devices; belt traction devices; winch traction devices; belt winch traction devices; roller traction devices. The machine starts from the material inlet and ends at the material outlet. This section does not apply to cutting devices integrated with pulling devices or attached to extruders. This standard does not apply to take-up devices on film or coil lines. This section also does not apply to unwinding and reeling devices. Chemical, toxicological and fire hazards which may arise due to the material being processed, eg in continuous vulcanization plants, are not addressed.
