2Scope / Description

ISO 10350 specifies specific test methods for determining and presenting comparable characteristics for certain basic properties of plastics. In general, each property is defined by a single measurement, but in certain cases a property is characterized by two values obtained under different test conditions or along different material directions. The listed properties are usually recorded by the manufacturer in data sheets. This part of ISO 10350 applies to thermoplastic and thermosetting materials that have reinforcement either by discontinuous fibers with a length before processing of more than 7.5 mm or by continuous fibers (e.g. woven fabrics, continuous mats of single strands or unidirectional plastics). Part 1 of this International Standard specifically addresses unreinforced and filled plastics and plastics with fibers less than 7.5 mm in length.
