For the purposes of this standard, an engine is defined as the drive unit up to and including the power take-off connections. Hazards relevant to diesel engines are listed in Annex A. This standard should be referenced in relation to all other standards relating to diesel engines. This European Standard does not apply to diesel engines manufactured before the date of publication of this national standard.
