2Scope / Description

This standard specifies characteristics and defines additional information to be provided to the consumer by the seller of liquefied petroleum gases (see ISO 8216-3) and is intended for use in the international supply of commercial propane and butane. This standard does not replace the national standards of other countries, as each country has its own regulatory documents, safety regulations, industry practices, and sales markets. The required characteristics for specific purposes should be formulated taking into account the specific requirements of consumers in accordance with national standards and safety regulations.
