This International Standard specifies the design, construction and installation of fixed galley stoves and heaters operating on fuels that are liquid at atmospheric pressure for small craft with a hull length (LH according to ISO 8666) of up to 24 m. This includes open flame galley stoves as well as ceramic (ceramic) cooktops, air heaters and water heaters. Cooking and heating appliances designed or intended solely as portable, independent camping stoves are not covered. Other fixed stoves and heaters (e.g. those burning liquid or solid fuels without the aid of a combustion air fan) are outside the scope of this International Standard and are covered by ISO 9094.
