In this prestandard AC systems with a nominal voltage exceeding 45 kV and DC systems with a rated voltage exceeding 45 kV are regarded as high-voltage overhead electrical lines. The configuration of the DC system (e. g. monopoles, bipoles) must be taken into account especially for the rating of the neutral conductor.
