This part of GB/T 15970 specifies a slow strain rate test procedure for the study of the susceptibility of metals and alloys to stress corrosion cracking, including oxygen-induced failure. The term "metal" used in this section also includes alloys. This section applies to plates, rods, wires, strips and tubes and their welded assemblies.
