- Scope
- This standard includes dimensional and marking requirements for threads and thread gauges conforming to this standard, thread measurement methods, provisions for specification and identification of thread gauges, and provisions for inspection of line pipe, round thread casing and tubing, buttress thread casing and Apparatus and method for in-line bushing connection threads. This standard is applicable to products produced according to GB/T 9711.1 and SY/T 6194 and other standards. The measurement methods of thread taper, pitch, profile height, profile angle and flank angle are applicable to threads with no more than 111/2 teeth per 25.4mm. Thread sizes listed without deviation are for connection design only and should not be measured to determine product acceptance or rejection. Thread inspection applies to pre-shipment inspection at the manufacturing location, inspection at any point in the middle, inspection after delivery at the destination, and inspection by inspectors representing the buyer or the factory. The manufacturer is free to choose other instruments or methods to control production operations. However, product acceptance can only be determined on the basis of inspection results in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
