Scope

This part of GB/T 21714 provides information on the design, installation, inspection, maintenance and testing of lightning electromagnetic pulse protection measures (SPM) for electrical and electronic systems in buildings to reduce lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP) and make it Risk of permanent failure. This standard does not cover protection against lightning electromagnetic disturbances that may cause internal system failures. However, the information in Appendix A can also be used to assess such harassment. See IEC 60364-4-44 and IEC 61000 for protection against electromagnetic interference. This section can guide the cooperation between the designer of electrical and electronic systems and the designer of protective measures to achieve the best protective effect.
