2Scope / Description

This standard contains supplementary specifications and recommendations to DIN EN 13914-1:2016-09 and applies only in conjunction with it. It also applies to the plastering of ceilings in exterior areas. The scope of this document corresponds to that of DIN EN 13914-1:2016-09. Furthermore, this document also applies to the use of plasters according to DIN EN 998-1 and DIN EN 15824 on walls and ceilings of building structures that comply with the applicable standards, in particular DIN EN 1992-1-1, DIN EN 1996-1-1, DIN 4103-1 and DIN 4213, and can be applied analogously to similar substrates, e.g., in older buildings. Surface treatments of building components, such as textured plaster, slurry plaster, troweled plaster, and impregnation and coatings (paints), are not considered plasters within the meaning of this standard.
