Design, preparation and application of external rendering and internal plastering - Part 1: Supplementary provisions for DIN EN 13914-1 for external rendering

2Scope / Description

This standard contains supplementary provisions and recommendations to DIN EN 13914-1:2005-06 and applies only when combined with that standard. It also applies to plastering of exterior ceilings. Its scope is the same as DIN EN 13914-1:2005-06. Furthermore, it applies to plastering of walls and ceilings of building components conforming to current standards (particularly DIN EN 1992-1-1, DIN 1053-1, DIN 4103-1 and DIN 4213) using plaster conforming to DIN EN 998-1 and DIN EN 15824, and can be applied by analogy to similar plastering substrates, such as older buildings. Surface treatments of components, such as grease, mortar layers, brushing, Rappputz (an older plastering technique), and impregnation and coating (paints), are not considered plastering in the sense of this standard.
